Peng Jian Solo Exhibition: Harmony
Visual Arts

Description
Description
Galerie Ora-Ora is delighted to present Hangzhou-based artist Peng Jian’s solo exhibition Harmony with the opening reception to be held from 6 pm to 8 pm on May 28 (Tuesday). In Harmony, Peng’s new works are about relationship of dimensions and surfaces, relationship of visual art, balance of human relations, and balance in life. The pursuit of equilibrium needs proportions and symmetry. Plane, shape, colour and weight are equally important. As Peng Jian once said: “I define different objects within a limited space. I am not only trying to portray a specific image, but I want to express the deep hidden meaning in a symbolic manner. The colours here look real and pure, but not in the object. They seem to float above the object, like an amorphous subjective gesture.”
