Dunhuang Reflections
Dance

Description
Description
Buddhism was introduced into China around 2,000 years ago from ancient India. Occupying a military strategic location in the Hexi Corridor of the Silk Road, the Dunhuang grottoes were created in one of the busiest ancient trade routes and had become a key area for the transmission of Buddhism.
Inspired by Dunhuang murals and its aesthetics, Dunhuang Reflections reinterprets the historical treasures with contemporary aesthetic concepts, portraying the elegance and aesthetics of Dunhuang in dance, exemplifying the compassion for humanity and philosophical explorations of the mysteries of the universe.
