Theatre

Established in 1998, On & On Theatre Workshop is a professional theatre company supported by Hong Kong Arts Development Council. Focusing on contemporary theatre and cultural development, On & On has endeavored to explore independent space for innovative creations.

In 2001, On & On moved into Cattle Depot Artist Village in Tokwawan and established the first performance space operated by local performing company – The Cattle Depot Theatre.

On & On insists experimental/cutting-edge exploration, cultivates independent space for creation. We create new works with contemporary and innovative visions. We also believe that theatre is an artistic expression that reaches out the society.

“Contemporary Writing for Theatre” project has been introduced various contemporary European writings to Hong Kong. Entering our 20th year, we shall continue to keep our focus on cultivating local contemporary new works, and exploring different possibility of contemporary theatre.
