Description
Description
The first step in mapping out New China was taken in Hong Kong. As the pioneering generation of a bilingual English and Chinese-speaking elite emerged in Hong Kong, the colony’s social order inspired Sun Yat-sen to reflect on the future of his country. Unfortunately, corruption within the Qing government was almost unstoppable.
The story takes place at a time when Sun Yat-sen was studying in Hong Kong. He formed the “Four Desperados” with his allies to save the country, and had the care and support of his confidante, Chen Cui-fen. Then his wife, Lu Mu-zhen, arrived. It is never easy to find the balance between family, country and love. How could he take the first step of revolution at the age of only 22?
