This production of The Sound of Music is performed in its original Broadway stage version of the 1959 premiere at the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre in New York City by Richard Rodgers and Oscar Hammerstein II in English (dialogues and lyrics) which is different from the movie version in 1966. There are some songs which were performed in the movie but not in the stage version and vice versa. Of course, the most popular one are in this stage version; such as The Sound of Music, Maria, My Favourite Things, Do Re Mi, You are Sixteen, The Lonely Goatherd, So Long, Farewell, Climb Every Mountain, Edelweiss. Etc.
